From Dakar go as far as Mbour (about 2 hours)

From Mbour travel for about 30 minutes to Joal.

At Joal follow the track to the left in the Sambadia/Fimela direction. Drive for about 25 mins on the beaten earth track.

In the centre of Sambadia village turn right to Palmarin/Djiffere.

As you arrive at the village of Palmarin Ngallou turn left. A signpost indicates the Lodge at this intersection.

Follow the track which leads to the Lodge.

What level of comfort in the rooms?

The first luxury is your terrace with a magnificent view !

Of course your accommodation has all you need for a quality stay. Your bathroom is fitted with a washbasin, shower and toilet. In winter we can supply you with hot water.

All rooms are equipped with a double bed and generally with a child’s bed.

For more detail if you have more than one child with you go to the family sectionSolar energy ensures continuous supply, even at night. However, our isolation in the bush does not enable us to offer you air-conditioning.

And my health?

As soon as you announce that you are leaving for Africa, the authorities and doctors wave an impressive list at you, precautions to take, medicines, vaccinations. But Africa is big and our little corner at Niassam is particularly healthy. Don’t spoil your holiday with nausea and unpleasant reactions to these treatments. The yellow fever vaccination is not compulsory and the region where the Lodge is located is not a risk zone.

Anti-malarial treatments. From November to July there are practically no mosquitoes. Sleeping under a mosquito net and using mosquito repellents is enough during this period. The choice is yours….

Should we bring gifts?

Offering a gift when you visit friends, family or visit the village chief is the custom in Africa. However, giving sweets or crayons to children you meet in the bush destroys the real relationship with the population, changing them into beggars and you into a walking Father Christmas.
